Mary Butler Scoops Local Award Again
We are delighted to announce that Mary Butler has, for the second time, won the Private Client Lawyer of the Year at the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards 2009 for her work in the field of contentious probate.
Mary is recognised as a leading authority in Yorkshire in this specialised area of law and is it wonderful that her work has been acknowledged and rewarded yet again by the legal community.
She is the Senior Partner at Bell & Buxton and heads the Wills & Probate department. She specialises in handling the most complex contentious probate cases and financial abuse of the elderly, often receiving work by referral from other solicitors and law firms who recognise the need for cases to be handled by a lawyer with Mary’s experience and abilities.
Mary was previously awarded the Private Client Award during 2006 in recognition of her skills, expertise and success in these areas of Private Client work. She is a Court of Protection Deputy authorised to act as a receiver for an incapacitated person where no other suitable person can be identified. She is also a registered member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.
She is also frequently consulted in contentious probate matters by TV and Radio producers and has appeared recently on BBC Look North and ITV's Tonight programme.
