Swine flu proves key for Raworths Seminars
Swine Flu and Absence Management prove Key Seminar Topics
Raworths, Harrogate’s leading law firm, today held the first in a series of well-attended employment seminars aimed at advising employers on absence management and handling the issues relating to the expected second wave of swine flu this autumn.
Raworths partner and head of employment, Deborah Boylan, headed the team discussing these issues and the bi-annual changes in employment law in today’s seminar, which was fully subscribed. Further seminars are taking place later this week for which there are a limited number of places available.
Deborah said, ‘With absence costing the average employer eight working days per employee each year, it is vital, in these difficult times, to manage this issue effectively. In our seminars, we focus on the practical steps that can be taken to deal with this. We are, in particular, looking at the effects of swine flu and self-certification on businesses and what policies can limit the spread of illness within the workplace.’
