Beverley Theato of Barnsley Solicitors Mills Kemp & Brown accepted onto AvMA
In June this year, Mrs Beverley Theato, a Clinical Negligence Solicitor at Mills Kemp & Brown Solicitors, was accepted onto the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel of Specialist Solicitors.
We are pleased to announce that Beverley has now also been successfully accepted onto the Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) of Specialist Clinical Negligence Solicitors.
AvMA is an independent charity which promotes better patient safety and justice for people who have been affected by Medical Accidents.
During the assessment procedure, for both of these panels, Beverley had to demonstrate a wide knowledge of procedures of resolving Clinical Disputes, including settlement of cases, mediation, inquests and the complaints procedures.
Law Society and AvMA panel solicitors have to be re-assessed every 5 years.
Beverley has also recently been accepted as a Senior Litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
Beverley is a very experienced in Clinical Negligence Claims. Clinical Negligence law is highly complex and, as well as legal knowledge we believe that it also requires medical knowledge. Beverley, before qualifying as a solicitor, was a Registered General Nurse, ending her nursing career as a nursing sister on an intensive care unit.
Mills Kemp & Brown run a free legal advice clinic, every Wednesday, when Beverley, or her colleague, Mr Peter Higgins is available to discuss any concerns you may have about your medical care. Initial advice is always free.
