McCormicks boosts Corporate Team
Leading Yorkshire law firm McCormicks Solicitors of Harrogate has added to its corporate law expertise with the appointment of a new solicitor.
Joanna Jowitt joins the Corporate and Commercial team at McCormicks and will bring additional strength to the team whose work spans all areas of law from setting up or selling a business to pursuing breaches of intellectual property rights.
Joanna, who previously worked for Magic Circle firm Slaughter and May, said: “I am very much looking forward to helping businesses put deals together, whether as buyers or sellers. It is great to be able to contribute to what is a hugely constructive process.”
The firm has also promoted James Turnbull to Legal Assistant in the same department. James, who joined McCormicks in 2007, will assist on all matters, including dispute resolution, and has particular knowledge of small claims and debt recovery.
