Position: PartnerSteve deals with all aspects of commercial fraud including investigations and prosecutions by the likes of the SFO, DTI, Trading Standards, Health & Safety and other regulatory bodies as well as tax investigations and proceedings (both civil and criminal) by HM Customs & Excise and the Inland Revenue. He has a particular area of expertise in advising companies in relation to due diligence, risk management and regulatory compliance issues.
Holding a BA (Jurisprudence) from Oxford University (1997), and an LPC from Leeds Metropolitan University (1998), Steve joined Clarion Advocates as a trainee in 1998 and qualified in 2000. He was promoted to senior associate in 2005, and became a partner in April 2008. Steve also holds the Higher Rights of Audience (Criminal) qualification, entitling him to conduct proceedings in all courts from the Crown Court to the House of Lords. He is also a supervisor on the Specialist Fraud Panel.
