Ruth runs the Crown Court Department within the firm’s criminal law practice. Since joining in 2003, she has been involved in all cases sent to the Crown Court. She sees an important part of her role as providing care and support to firm’s clients who are facing the possibility of imprisonment.

As a Crown Court clerk, Ruth’s responsibilities include the preparation of all matters for barristers including documentation, obtaining statements and ensuring the attendance of witnesses. She attends court in numerous criminal trials ranging from burglary to extremely serious offences.
