After graduating with a law degree from London University, John qualified as a Solicitor in 1974. For most of his career he has undertaken personal injury work, dealing with a wide variety of casework including road traffic, employer's liability and public liability, plus some disease work and criminal injury cases. He was a partner in the Middlesbrough firm of Lauristons, but from 2007 has worked for Coles Solicitors in Northallerton and York. Most of his work has been for injured claimants, with a small number of defendant cases. He has also had some experience over the years of private client work in connection with matters such as Wills and Powers of Attorney.
