SUMMARY

Michael acts on behalf of clients in both the public and private sector and advises on a broad range of planning, highways and compulsory purchase issues in connection with planning applications and appeals, enforcement issues, compulsory purchase orders, highways matters and environmental impact assessment.

AREAS OF PRACTICE

Michael has particular expertise in negotiating complex planning and highways agreements as well as advising colleagues on specialist provisions required in transactional documentation.

Michael has also brought and defended judicial review proceedings on behalf of a number of clients and advises on the risk of proceedings being brought to developments.

Michael also provides strategic and legal planning advice in connection with regeneration and development projects including major city centre redevelopments, infrastructure projects, airport development, housing schemes, educational and sports facilities.
