Position: Partner and Head of Criminal Department
Danny was a partner at Bindmans and Partners 1989, before moving to Sheffield in 1990 as a partner and Head of Criminal Department.
His specialisation is Criminal law and, in particular, White Collar Crime, Miscarriages of Justice and Public Order. Recognised as a leading individual in Criminal Defence work, in 2003 Danny successfully overturned the conviction of Terry Pinfold who had been in jail for 23 years for a murder he did not commit. Danny’s investigations led to the discovery of material that showed that senior detectives had evidence that the man alleged to have been murdered by Pinfold had been alive two years after he was supposed to have been murdered. Recently acted in the case of R v David George Morris whose conviction for murdering four members of the same family was quashed by the Court of Appeal and a re-trial ordered. He is a committee member of the Criminal Law Solicitors Association.
