Position: Partner and Head of Civil Liberties (Human Rights) Department
Peter Mahy deals with a large amount of civil actions against the police, police complaints, inquests and deaths in custody. He is a recognised and well-known specialist in police complaints and civil actions against the police including Judicial Review and particularly in relation to Human Rights Act challenges. He is one of the Leading Civil Liberties Lawyers in the country due to the high profile public interest cases he is handling. He conducts cases before all levels of courts, including the House of Lords and also the European Court of Human Rights.
