Position: Head of Employment Law

Debbie Mactaggart is Head of Employment Law and our Partner in charge of HR.  Debbie is a commercial lawyer with many years’ experience most recently in large Leeds law firms. She is a member of the Law Society and joined Jordans in September 2010.

Debbie advises employers and employees on the full range of employment issues including:

• Contracts of employment, staff handbooks and policies.
• Employer obligations such as minimum wage, equal pay, flexible working and not to discriminate.
• Employer rights such as enforcement of restrictive covenants and confidentiality clauses.
• Termination of employment including redundancy, unfair dismissal and compromise agreements.

Having worked to develop employment packages, Debbie has a particular interest in providing packaged employment advice to businesses at a predictable and affordable price.
