Anne Braithwaite

Anne joined Lupton Fawcett in 1995 as a Partner and then became a Director and Member at Lupton Fawcett LLP in 2006.
Anne graduated in modern and medieval languages at Newnham College, Cambridge and later qualified as a solicitor.
Anne has pracitised family law for over 25 years. She trained as a Family Mediators Association Mediator in 1992, an accredited and LSC recognised family mediator and child consultant. She is also a supervisor and professional practice consultant for the FMA and Resolution. Anne has recently stood down as the National Treasurer for Resolution after six years (the maximum term allowed) but is still involved in Resolution's operation at a national level.
Anne is listed as an expert in her field, as a family lawyer, in Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500 directories. In recent editions, she has been described as "devoted to her clients and fearsome in their defence" aswell as having "a fair minded and rational approach to cases".
Anne deals with all aspects of work arising from a relationship breakdown focussing mostly on the financial aspects (usually well in excess of £1m) and, given the complexity of people's financial affairs, she has to have a good knowledge of company and partnership law, tax, land law, trusts, pensions and a whole raft of other areas, sufficient to advise and to know when to refer to specialists in those areas. Anne follows a pragmatic approach to help clients reach effective solutions whilst favouring a mediated negotiated approach.
Anne is an assertive litigator when required and she always tries to create an effective working relationship with her clients.
