Mike is a partner in the firm within the private client department. He qualified in 1978, having been an articled clerk with Ramsden Sykes & Ramsden. In 2002 Mike returned to the firm and is now the resident partner at our Slaithwaite office.
A member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) Mike has a particular interest in the law as it relates to older people. He specializes in will drafting, tax planning, powers of attorney and preserving assets to be passed on to the next generation.
Mike's hobbies have resulted in him developing a will writing & estate administration service for Stamp and Coin Collectors. Ramsdens are represented at most of the major Stamp Fairs in the north of England and occasionally further afield. We believe that no other solicitors offer this specialized service and the firm have been instructed by many leading collectors to deal with their estates and assist in the disposal of their collections when they die.
