A graduate of the University of Leeds, Clinton qualified as a solicitor with the global law firm, DLA Piper before moving to a highly regarded commercial practice based in the north west of England. Clinton joined The Needle Partnership in April 2008, having latterly worked for a Leeds based, but nationally acknowledged law firm where he headed its Litigation Department.

Clinton is a highly experienced lawyer specialising in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Often called upon to provide advice in respect of high value and complex disputes, his clients include corporate and commercial enterprises based throughout the United Kingdom and overseas, as well as high net worth individuals. His work includes partnership and shareholder disputes, proceedings brought under the Company Directors Disqualification Act, warranty claims and contract disputes. Away from dispute resolution, Clinton also advises on commercial matters, and provides support in respect of corporate transactions (particularly in relation to due diligence exercises).

In addition, Clinton has particular experience working with profile individuals, including international sports professionals. This has brought Clinton into direct contact with the media, often requiring him to obtain urgent injunctions at short notice, and to manage highly sensitive issues.

Away from the office Clinton has a broad range of interests. He remains a keen (if infrequent) participant in a variety of sports and it has been said that what he lacks in talent, he makes up for in enthusiasm!! A fair weather walker, he also takes a keen interest in the performing arts and literature.
